COFFEE STORY: Located on the eastern slopes of the Aberdare Mountains, the Murang’a region doesn’t have a historically famous name for coffee but that has changed over the last several years and lots like this only bolster its growing reputation. While not vastly different from the classic Kenya profile, this Kangurumai lot presents a little more orange and candy sweetness upfront than others. The same famed Kenya varieties (SL-28 and SL-34) deliver superb acidity and sweetness but with a subtle twist on a favorite of ours.
